The port of Dover commissioned Herbosch-Kiere to recover and partially remove the blockship Spanish Prince, a former cargo ship that was sunk by the Admiralty during the First World War and which lay at the entrance to the port. Herbosch-Kiere used the multifunctional pontoon WAASLAND and pontoon GAVERLAND with a special lifting tool and equipment for cutting. The ship was cut into pieces in situ before being lifted off the seabed.
